“Duh” Second Malicious iPhone Worm Attacks Jailbroken iPhones

Another iPhone worm called Duh or Ikee.B is in the wild to target the jailbroken iPhone devices. According to a security company F-Secure although Duh is the second iPhone worm but the first malicious one which is affecting iPhone users during their internet banking transactions and harm .


Further F-Secure explains:

” The new worm is more serious than the first because it can behave like a botnet. This enables the phone to be accessed or controlled remotely without the permission of its owner.”

This worm is also targeting only the jailbroken iPhone like the first iPhone worm, even the jailbroken iPhones have installed SSH secure shell.

At the moment this malicious worm is targeting the jailbroken iPhone in Netherlands but its capable to replicate to other iPhones using the same wi-fi hotspots.

This is the recommendation for jailbroken iPhone users that they must change root passwords of their iPhones to protect against the worms even than their devices are still at risk.
