They have five children, (the oldest named Patrick) and 12 grandchildren, (none named Patrick). The Jingle Bell Bum
Christmas is right around the corner, and everything is perfect—until Patricia discovers she’s “volunteered” to help her teenagers sell holiday chocolates outside a busy store. Certain that her Christmas plans are headed for disaster, her fears are confirmed when she spies the neighboring Salvation Army volunteer—a shabby man who looks like a poor imitation of Santa Claus.
No one could have guessed that on that first chilly night, a miracle was waiting to happen . . . in the form of a group of teenage carolers who change the life of a down-and-out bum.
A moving and unforgettable read, this inspiring true story teaches all of us that following the words of the Savior is far more important than having the perfect Christmas.
Praise
“The Jingle Bell Bum shows that even out of a begrudged moment of Christmas kindness can bring love to a lonesome life and create a Christmas memory that will last ‘longer than forever.’”
–Richard Rich
Animation producer and director
“The Jingle Bell Bum is a lovely and moving story for the season. Truth is always better than fiction, and the truth of taking the words of Christ as our guide gives this story a powerful appeal.”
–Carol Lynn Pearson
