It's Dr. Suess' Birthday! (technically March 2nd but since it's Friday today and tomorrow there is no school on Saturday, most schools are celebrating Read Across America Day today)
I picked this book up at Barnes and Noble yesterday. It's one I was not familiar with but the kids loved it!
The second graders came into the assembly as the "lorax" would rocking their "stashes" hahah
My hubby was a guest reader to the kids! For our read across america day, each year, parents are invited to speak a few min about what they do for a living, then go up to classrooms and read to kids for a while.
